The Tailbone features pilot holes drilled, just enough in width to accept the screw and give adequate grip on the threads. For the user-drilled holes in the deck, through holes are necessary; large enough to permit the screw to fit securely, and enabling the head to securely rest against the deck's surface once tightened. Giving exact attention to sizing these user-drilled through holes is essential.
