Head on down to Bondi this Queen's Birthday long weekend, Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th of June for the inaugural Concrete Beach community skate festival. This huge weekend will feature an array of competitions with $7,000 in prize money, giveaways, lessons, art workshops, music, food and drink.
SATURDAY 11TH JUNE
Festivities kick off at 9am at Blair Street Courts - 55 Blair St North Bondi. A wallride competition will be held for Under 12s, Under 16s and Opens while there will be an Opens keg competition as well as live music and a BBQ throughout the day.
The action doesn't end there though.
From 4pm at the Beach Road Hotel we ramp things up a notch starting with a Game of S.K.A.T.E with a great prize pool of giveaways from our sponsors and a $1,000 first place prize.
After that we get into the main event starting from 6pm, the Opens ramp competition. $5,000 is on offer along with further prize giveaways. Stick around for the festivities with Curly Lewis beers available on tap, delicious pizzas, live music and DJs all night at the Beach Road Hotel.
SUNDAY 12TH JUNE
To round the long weekend off, on Sunday the 12th, young skaters are invited to enjoy a huge day of activities run by Concrete Skate Supply at the Beach Road Hotel, including the Half Pipe Grom Comp, skate lessons, art workshops, games of S.K.A.T.E, plus an all-day BBQ.
